The Vees

Keep up with Jeff and Tommy Vee on the road.

Today, THE VEES consist of brothers Jeff and Tom Vee. The brothers have been together in a band in one form or another for over two decades touring from Colorado to New York and points in-between. For many years they have performed as back up band to their father, Bobby Vee, and they have traveled throughout the United States, Australia and Europe working with such legendary artists as Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Bo Diddley.

THE VEES draw from a wide variety of well known material to put together a high energy rock ‘n’ roll show that is exciting and original while being an authentic tribute to the legends of rock ‘n’ roll and their music. Their years of experience as recording and performing artists have resulted in a tight and definitive sound that finds its roots in the early rockabilly music of people such as Elvis, Buddy Holly, and Jerry Lee Lewis, but can be as powerful and dynamic as today’s rock ‘n’ roll music.

Jeff and Tommy performed under the name “BIGGER THAN ED” and spent time in the recording studio producing several CDs while maintaining their steady performance schedule. Their 1995 CD, “Crash Booom Bang It Out,” is a combination of their own material and selected classic rock ‘n’ roll favorites.”Moon Dog Dance Party,” their second CD released in 1998, is a rockabilly treat featuring the band’s original material and select rockabilly treasures including a tribute to the late, great Carl Perkins.

In 2000, THE VEES released “The Vees Limited Edition EP” containing five cuts. Their latest CD release, “The Vees, Nashville Sessions 99-01” features all original material.

The CD recording sessions also includes younger brother Robby Vee. (Robby Vee performs as a solo artist and for more information on his career and music).

Their music and permances are varied and on occasion, they work with Nelson, twin sons of Ricky Nelson, in a tribute concert called “RIcky Nelson Remembered.” They continue to work with music legends providing an authentic rock ‘n’ roll backdrop.

The Vee family also owns Rockhouse Productions, a production company that runs the gammut from small to very large events, regionally, internationally and with all musical genres. Rockhouse also contains a complete recording studio.
